This page is used to set parameters related to the pin window.

Pin

Restore Unclosed Pins on Startup

By default, PixPin will automatically load pins that were not closed when exiting last time. You can disable this feature here.

Lock Type

Set the type of operation restricted when the pin window is locked.

  • Prevent Move and Close
  • Prevent Move
  • Prevent Close

Order of Restoring Pins

When using "Restore Last Closed Pin", you can choose to restore the most recently closed pin or the most recently created pin.

Pin Display Position

By default, when the pin comes from a PixPin screenshot, it will be displayed at the original screenshot position. Other pins will be displayed in the center of the screen. You can set the display position of the pin here.

  • Screenshot Position: Only pins from PixPin screenshots will be displayed at the original screenshot position, others will be displayed in the center of the screen.
  • Mouse Position: The pin will be displayed centered on the mouse position.
  • Main Screen Center: The pin will be displayed in the center of the main screen.
  • Mouse Screen Center: In a multi-screen environment, the pin will be displayed in the center of the screen where the mouse is located.

Confirm When Closing with Key

When the pin window is active, pressing the Esc key will close the pin window. You can set whether a second confirmation is required to avoid accidental closing.

Confirm When Closing with Double Click

When the pin window is active, double-clicking the pin window will close it. You can set whether a second confirmation is required to avoid accidental closing.

Show Window Shadow

Set whether the pin window displays a shadow.

Number of Kept History Pins

Set the number of history pins to keep. You can restore the last closed pin via the shortcut Ctrl + 3. Pins exceeding this number will be deleted. Setting it to 0 means no history pins are kept.

Default Pin Window Opacity

The initial opacity when the pin is displayed (opacity can be adjusted via Ctrl + Mouse Wheel on the pin).

Zoom Step with Mouse Wheel

Set the zoom step represented by each scroll when using the mouse wheel to adjust zoom on the pin, in %.

Fine Zoom Step with Mouse Wheel

Set the zoom step represented by each scroll when using the mouse wheel to finely adjust zoom on the pin, in %.

Opacity Step with Mouse Wheel

Set the opacity step represented by each scroll when using the mouse wheel to adjust opacity on the pin, in %.

Reduce Opacity When Mouse Through Enabled

After setting this value, when the pin enables mouse through mode, if the opacity is greater than this value, it will automatically reduce the opacity to the target value.

Mouse Wheel Zoom Mode

You can zoom the pin using the mouse wheel on the pin. You can set the zoom behavior here.

  • Disable: Disable mouse wheel zoom.
  • Based on Mouse: Zoom centered on the mouse position.
  • Based on Center Point: Zoom centered on the pin's center point.
  • Based on Top Left: Zoom centered on the pin's top left corner.
  • Based on Top Right: Zoom centered on the pin's top right corner.
  • Based on Bottom Left: Zoom centered on the pin's bottom left corner.
  • Based on Bottom Right: Zoom centered on the pin's bottom right corner.

Middle Click Zoom Mode

After the pin is zoomed or opacity is adjusted, you can click the middle button on the pin to restore it to the original size or opacity. You can set the zoom behavior here.

  • Disable: Disable mouse wheel zoom.
  • Based on Mouse: Zoom centered on the mouse position.
  • Based on Center Point: Zoom centered on the pin's center point.
  • Based on Top Left: Zoom centered on the pin's top left corner.
  • Based on Top Right: Zoom centered on the pin's top right corner.
  • Based on Bottom Left: Zoom centered on the pin's bottom left corner.
  • Based on Bottom Right: Zoom centered on the pin's bottom right corner.

Resize Window with Border

By default, you can adjust the pin size via the pin window's border shadow. This may cause accidental touches. You can disable this feature here.

When Pinning Duplicate

Set the behavior when the same pin already exists on the screen when pinning.

  • No Action: Do nothing.
  • Shake Pin Window: Shake the existing pin window.
  • Restore Last Closed Pin Window: Restore the last closed pin window.
  • Duplicate Pin: Still pin the duplicate pin.

When Pin is Replaced

When pressing Ctrl + V on the pin window, or dragging content from other software to the pin window, the pin will be replaced. You can set the replacement behavior here.

  • No Action: Keep the original pin and pin the new pin at the same position.
  • Close Original Pin: Close the original pin and pin the new pin. The original pin can be restored via Ctrl + 3.
  • Destroy Original Pin: Destroy the original pin and pin the new pin. The original pin cannot be restored.

Title Position

Set the position where the title is displayed.

  • Top Center: The title is displayed at the top of the pin.
  • Bottom Center: The title is displayed at the bottom of the pin.

Image Pin

Set parameters related to image pins.

When Copying with Shortcut

The content copied when pressing the copy shortcut on the pin window.

  • Copy Displayed Image: Copy the currently displayed image.
  • Copy Original Image: Copy the original image.

Auto Detect Text

By default, text in the pin will be detected when pinning. On some lower-performance machines, this may cause the system to lag. You can disable this feature here. After disabling, you can still start text detection via the pin's right-click menu.

Smooth Zoom

Set whether to enable smooth zoom when zooming the pin.

Hide Detected Text in Thumbnail Mode

By default, text in the image cannot be selected in thumbnail mode. You can set whether to allow selection here.

Format When Copying Detected Text

The layout format when copying detected text.

  • Auto: Detect text layout via algorithm.
  • Single Line Layout: All detected text is arranged in one line.
  • Multi-line Layout: One text per line.

Punctuation Handling for Detected Text

Set the punctuation handling method in the detected text.

  • No Processing: Do nothing.
  • Convert to Half-width Symbols: Convert full-width punctuation to half-width punctuation, which is very useful for scenarios like copying code.

Text Pin

Max Width for Plain Text

When the text is plain text, set the maximum width of the text. It will automatically wrap if it exceeds this width.

Text Padding

Set the padding of the text to adjust the display position of the text.

Show HTML Style

When the copied text content contains HTML code, you can set whether to display HTML style or only display plain text here.

Adapt to Screen DPI

When displaying text on a high DPI screen, the pin size can be automatically scaled to adapt to the screen display.

Text Font

Set the displayed text font, size, bold, etc. Only effective in plain text mode. In HTML mode, the style in HTML will be used.

Text Color

Only effective in plain text mode.

Background Color

Only effective in plain text mode.

Text Selectable by Default

Set whether the text in the text pin is selectable by default.
