PixPin supports Windows and macOS. Windows requires a 64-bit version of Windows 10 or later; 32-bit systems are not supported. Windows 7 can use version 2.4.9.6 or earlier, while versions from 3.0.8.0 may require additional dependencies; macOS requires 10.15 or later. Installer and portable editions are available for Windows; Windows ARM64 has no native version yet, but can run through system compatibility features.

Scroll steadily with the mouse wheel and PixPin will stitch the content into one image; press A for automatic scrolling. Copy, save or pin the result to your screen when finished. Vertical and horizontal stitching are supported; from version 3.2, extra-long captures can reach 2 million pixels.

Select an area containing text during capture and click OCR on the toolbar to select and copy the result. You can also pin a screenshot or any image with Ctrl+2, select text directly on the pin and press Shift+C to copy all text. Recognition runs entirely on your device, without uploading images to the cloud. Press Q during capture to recognize QR codes and barcodes; OCR supports 9 languages, including Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean.

After capturing, press Ctrl+2, click the pin button or press the middle mouse button to keep the selection in an always-on-top window. Copy any image, text, color value or file and press Ctrl+2 to pin it; select an image file in a folder and press Alt+~ to pin it directly. Drag to move pins, use the wheel to zoom or Ctrl+wheel to change opacity, press L to lock and Space to annotate. Double-click or press Esc to close; Ctrl+3 restores the most recently closed pin.
