Screenshot / Pin
To use the basic functions of PixPin, you only need to remember two hotkeys: Screenshot Ctrl + 1 and Pin Ctrl + 2. When you want to record part of the current screen, you can press the Screenshot key Ctrl + 1, select the area you want to record, and then press the Pin key Ctrl + 2. The area you selected will be pinned to the screen for your reference. You can also double-click to copy the image of the screen area to the clipboard after selecting the area, and then press the paste key in the input box of other software such as WeChat or Word to paste.
You can set different Screenshot / Pin hotkeys by right-clicking the tray icon -> Config -> Shortcut.
Annotate
You can use various built-in tools of PixPin to annotate on screenshots or pinned images, including Rectangle / Ellipse, Polyline, Arrow, Serial Number, Pencil, Highlighter, Mosaic, Text, etc.

Press the
Spacekey on the Pinned Image window to quickly call out the annotation toolbar.
Text Recognition
PixPin has a built-in powerful text recognition algorithm that can select and copy text on the Pinned Image to other places. Text recognition is performed entirely locally and images will not be uploaded to the cloud.
TIP
If there is too much text on the Pinned Image and it is easy to accidentally select text when moving the Pinned Image with the mouse, you can hold the Alt key and then move the Pinned Image to ignore the text and move the Pinned Image. If the text recognition function is used less frequently, you can also turn off automatic text recognition in [Config] - [Pin], and trigger the recognition function in the right-click menu of the Pinned Image when needed.
Scrolling Screenshot
PixPin has an intelligent image stitching algorithm. If the content you want to capture exceeds the screen range (such as chat records, long tables, articles, code, etc.), you can use the Scrolling Screenshot function. Usage: Press the screenshot shortcut to enter the screenshot interface, select the scrolling area, and then click the Scrolling Screenshot icon to enter Scrolling Screenshot mode. At this time, use the mouse wheel or control the scroll bar to scroll the content. PixPin will automatically stitch the scrolling content into a long image.
TIP
Scrolling Screenshot uses content recognition algorithms, so the selected scrolling area should be as high and long as possible. The scrolling process should be as smooth as possible, not too fast, and the content should preferably be all static content, without GIFs or videos. It is best not to include scroll bars in the screenshot area, otherwise the scroll bars may appear abnormal in the screenshot.
GIF Capture
PixPin supports recording dynamic images, making it convenient for users to perform simple screen recording. After selecting the recording range in the screenshot interface, click the GIF icon to enter the GIF recording page.

High Degree of Configuration Freedom
All shortcuts of PixPin (including global shortcuts and local shortcuts) can be customized. Mouse click operations on Pinned Images can also be customized. Users can configure them according to their own usage habits.
