Translation Settings ​

Explanation ​

PixPin's translation function is implemented through cloud services and requires setting the translation service API key. After setting, you can use the translation function in the right-click menu of the pin or the translation shortcut (Ctrl + Q).

TIP

Member users do not need to set it up and can use the translation function directly.

Setup Method ​

Currently supports Youdao translation service settings.

Image Translation is used on screenshots and image pins, and Text Translation is used on text pins (pinning after copying text). You need to enable the corresponding services.

Youdao Translate ​

  1. Register and log in to the Youdao AI Cloud Open Platform.
  2. Create an application, select Text Translation and Image Translation, and call via API. Create Application
  3. Find the Text Translation page and Image Translation page in the left navigation bar of Youdao AI Cloud, and enable the corresponding services for the application created just now. Navigation Bar
  4. Open the Application Overview page, find the application created just now in the application list, confirm that the call method is API, the enabled services are Text Translation and Image Translation, and the status is Normal. Application Settings Confirmation
  5. Open the "System" page of PixPin settings, fill in the "App ID" from the application list seen in the previous step into "APP ID", and fill in the "Secret key" into "Secret key". Click Verify to ensure successful verification. If you encounter an error during verification, you can check the reason against this address: Error Codes

TIP

During verification, the text translation service will be used to translate the word "Hello". Successful verification only means that the "APP ID" and "Secret key" are correct and text translation is available. You also need to confirm that the image translation service is enabled, otherwise the translation function will fail on screenshots or image pins.

  1. Register and log in to the Baidu Translate Open Platform.
  2. Enable Baidu Translate Open Platform Services Enable Image Translation and Text Translation. Image Translation and Text Translation
  3. Developer Center Enter the Developer Center to find the APP ID and Key.
  4. Open the "System" page of PixPin settings, fill in the "App ID" from the application list seen in the previous step into "APP ID", and fill in the "Key" into "Secret key".
