Scrolling Screenshot
PixPin features an intelligent image stitching algorithm. If the content you want to capture exceeds the screen range (such as chat records, long tables, articles, code, etc.), you can use the Scrolling Screenshot function. Usage: Press the screenshot shortcut to enter the screenshot interface, select the scrolling area, and then click the Scrolling Screenshot icon to enter scrolling screenshot mode. At this time, use the mouse wheel or control the scroll bar to scroll the content. PixPin will automatically stitch the scrolling content into a long image.
Scrolling Screenshot Interface

- Screenshot Area Box: The content displayed within this box will be the captured part. Red indicates capturing is in progress; scrolling the target software interface at this time will automatically record and stitch. Blue indicates waiting to start, at which point you can use the mouse to adjust the size of the screenshot area box.
- Indicates the size of the currently captured and stitched long screenshot, in pixels.
- Move Button: In the waiting-to-start state, you can freely move the screenshot area box by holding down this button with the mouse. In the screenshot state, you can only move along the screenshot direction. For example, vertical screenshots can only move up and down, and horizontal screenshots can only move left and right.
- Switch Screenshot Direction: Default is vertical screenshot. Click to switch to horizontal screenshot. The default state can be set via "Config" - "Screenshot" - "Scrolling Screenshot".
- Start/Stop Screenshot Button: Click to start screenshotting in the waiting-to-start state. Pressing this button in the screenshot state cancels the screenshot and returns to the waiting-to-start state.
- Close Button: Close Scrolling Screenshot.
- Pin Button: Pin the currently captured long screenshot to the screen.
- Save Button: Save the currently captured long screenshot locally.
- Copy Button: Copy the currently captured long screenshot to the clipboard.
- Scrolling Screenshot Thumbnail Preview: Displays a thumbnail of the currently captured long screenshot.
- Indicates the position of the current screen in the long screenshot. Green indicates a successful match, red indicates a match failure. At this time, you need to scroll back to the successfully matched position to re-match or re-screenshot.
Usage Tips
- When the target has scrolled to the bottom, but the content to be captured is still outside the screenshot box, you can hold down the "Move Button" mentioned above and drag the screenshot box towards the content to be captured, so you can continue capturing content.
- The intelligent recognition algorithm used by Scrolling Screenshot supports windows with title bars. For example, when capturing WeChat chat content, the group name part can be included, but the proportion of the title bar in the screen should be as small as possible, otherwise it will affect recognition.
- It is best not to include scroll bars in the screenshot area, otherwise, the scroll bar may appear abnormally in the screenshot.
- The content of the scrolling screenshot should preferably be complex static content, so that the algorithm can easily match it. If the content is too simple or has a large amount of repetition (such as a solid color screen), match failure may occur.
- Keep the scrolling process smooth and not too fast, otherwise match failure may occur.
