This is a historical beta changelog from the former website. Features, membership limits, shortcuts, and compatibility describe the release at that time. The former website did not specify a release date.

1.8.11 mainly enhances the functions of rectangular/elliptical annotation, adding controls for rotation, fillet, sector, arc, etc.

Features/settings

  • [Function] Rectangle annotation can be rotated and controlled to fillet
  • OutlineFrame content with lines. Adjust the line style and width.
  • FillFill the interior; lower opacity to show the image beneath.
  • Rounded cornersSquare handles resize; circular handles inside corners adjust rounding.
Choose between outlining content and filling an area, then adjust color, lines, and rounded corners.
  • [Function] Oval annotation can be rotated and adjusted to fan shape or arc shape
  • 1. Open a gapStart with the right circular handle and drag around the center.
  • 2. Adjust the sectorEdge circles set the start and span; the center circle sets the inner diameter.
  • 3. Cut out the middleDrag the center circle outward to make an annular sector.
  • 4. Make a ringSet the span to a full turn, keeping the hole in the middle.
Enlarged view: square handles resize; circular handles change the shape. The final panel hides the handles to show the result.
  • [Function] highlighter annotation adds mixed mode settings The previous algorithm of highlighter was Multiply. The Multiply algorithm would cause the color of highlighter to be inconspicuous on a dark background. Therefore, a translucent blending mode was added. Although the translucent blending mode is not as effective as Multiply in simulating highlighter, it is more obvious on a dark background.
  • MultiplyDefault: mixes the color with the content underneath.
  • TranslucentA lighter color overlays the underlying content.
Both sides use the same yellow; only blending changes. The background colors and brightness also affect the result.
  • [Settings] screenshot sound effect
The diagram shows sound settings. It does not play an actual sound.
  • [Settings] Add variables %title% to the save path: the title of the screenshot target window/pin, and the process name of the %process%screenshot target

Variables in the save path support variable modifiers '#' and '!'. # means to take only part of the characters before the variable. For example, "%title!10%" means to take only the first 10 characters of the title variable. ! means to remove the suffix of the variable. It is mainly used for process names. For example, "%process!%" means to remove the exe suffix of the process name.

Variables are expanded again when saving. Settings use PixPin as a sample title; screenshots use the source window for the selection. The remember-extension option is omitted. Time and window title are examples.
  • [Settings] screenshot - magnifying glass content, can be set: grid lines, cross lines, center frame lines, screenshot borders, screenshot control points, annotation, annotation control lines If the screenshot border in the magnifying glass blocks the content when fine-tuning the screenshot range, you can turn off the screenshot border in the magnifying glass in the settings.
Open the list with the color-format management button and save with OK. Only some magnifier options and three formats are shown; other formats are omitted and the bottom hint is simplified.
  • [Settings] Add format settings for pictures copied to the clipboard
The clipboard image format is configurable. Compatibility can differ between receiving applications.
  • [Settings] shortcut that can be set (enable/disable "Disable shortcut"), the shortcut will not be disabled when shortcut is disabled
